Maybe it's time to start the list

With the Eagles starting to look like the laughing stock of the league it's time look for a new leader. Here are my top guys:
1. John Gruden: MNF color commentator: Super Bowl winning coach enough said.
2. Sean Payton: Saints head coach: will be costly but well worth it.
3. Mike McCoy (pictured above): Denver offensive coordinator: Last year he made Tim Tebow look like an NFL qb and now this year he has changed everything and is working with Payton Manning. Could be the perfect coach for a team with a young qb. McCoy is the guy that I want, if Gruden and Payton take a pass and go somewhere else. He was the Only Time Will Tell seal of approval.
4. Perry Fewell: Giants defensive coordinator: Hiring from a rival might be a little hard, but Fewell has been really respected around the league and could be the defensive coach the fan base wants.
5. Chip Kelly: Oregon head coach: Kelly spoke to the Bucs last year about their opening and is very highly regarding in NFL circles.

The end is near

Jim Johnson was really the brains behind the Birds

Saw this tweet and its so true. The Eagles we loved and respected died a couple of years ago: “@PhillyFansVoice: Wow. Joe @Buck just hit it right on the button. Losing Jim Johnson was the beginning of the end for Andy Reid. #Eagles”.

Comcast Fail

I know soccer in the United States is not at the level of other sports but the least Comcast could do is get the names of the teams playing right. On Sunday, Comcast put on their guide Manchester United vs. Tottenham. Small problem it was not United playing but rather their arch rivals Manchester City. How could you mess that up. It would be like putting the Cowboys when the Eagles are playing the Packers. Lets hope Comcast sorts this type of stuff out.

Professional Tailgating: No More Unbeaten Season

Rutgers dream undefeated season ended yesterday with a loss to Kent State. Despite the lack of fireworks from the offense, there were fireworks after the game. Despite the loss Rutgers can still win the Big East, which is goal one. Here are the sites from the game.

The one that got away

During the summer Paul Pogba decided to leave the Manchester United for the greener grass of Juventus because of a lack of first team chance.

On Saturday, Juve took on Napoli at in a battle of top three sides in Italy. Pogba started the game on the bench but made a big impact after he came in 76th  minute. During the his 18 minutes on the field Pogba scored his first league goal on a great shot and showed flashes of why people say he is Patrick Vieira like.

Since Roy Keane left United, the Red Devils have been looking for a strongman in midfield. They have tried Fletcher, and even Phil Jones. Progba would have been perfect for that role and would have allowed United not to worry about this position for the next decade.

I know that people wanted to keep him at United, but it hurts when you see him showing the promise at another club.

So they Yankees are gone from playoffs and I can't be happier. The Yankees are a complete disappointment and the numbers don't lie.

Earlier today twitter's trending topics featured a weird group. At one point trending topics included Juan Castillo, Todd Bowles and Phillip Rivers. At one point I thought the question was: Name people who choked up big leagues in Week 6 of the NFL season.

Classless NBC

I know this is a couple of days old, but its still bothers me. NBC should be blasted for playing salsa music for Victor Cruz's touchdown while the play was still going on. Come on, how is that acceptable. Very unprofessional. I'm sure Giants fans thought it was great, but come on. It's a football not a sitcom.

The Eagles beat the Giants last night and today the Philly Daily News was up to its only tricks with its front and back pages.

The only winner in the NHL Lockout could be Hockey Canada

While the NHL and the NHLPA are fighting about a collective bargaining agreement, Hockey Canada is licking their chops. If  the lockout continues Canada would be set to send another Dream Team to the World Junior Championships in Russia. Bob McKenzie of TSN breaks down what Team Canada could look like at World Junior Championship if the lockout drags on.

The last time the NHL had a labor issue in 2005, Hockey Canada benefited. During that years World Juniors in Grand Forks, South Dakota Team Canada was loaded. That team featured:  Sidney Crosby, Patrice Bergeron, Corey Perry, Ryan Getzlaf, Mike Richards, Jeff Carter, Dion Phaneuf and Shea Weber. Not bad for an NHL team let alone a WJC team. 

The infusion of the locked out players could not potentially come at a better time for Hockey Canada. Canada has not won the WJC since 2009 and that is simply not good enough for the hockey crazy country.
