The time has finally come

After more than two years of talk and worry about the conference affiliation of Rutgers, the end its here and its does have a happy ending. Rutgers is heading to the Big Ten in 2014.

It has been a long winding road for Rutgers. Talk that they might be left on the outside looking in is now over. The program has stability and the chance to stand side by side with some of the best programs in America.

The talk of Rutgers joining is nothing new. Back in Dec. 2009 I wrote about the idea and asked this question:

"Is the Rutgers football program ready to play at that level? If they go to the Big Ten fans can forget about seeing a BCS Game for a while if they stay in the Big East there is that chance in the next couple of years they could be in a BCS games. If they head to Big Ten Rutgers might be group with Minnesota and Indiana teams that struggle with the rigors of the conference."

While the program has continue to grow over the last couple of years, there is still a lot of growth that is needed to be done when they move to the Big Ten. If Rutgers football program struggles, will fans still show up for games against Minnesota and Purdue. Its a question that needs to be answered.

I know this if off topic but I'm looking into starting my own weblog and was curious what all is required to get setup? I'm assuming
having a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny? I'm not very web smart so I'm not 100% certain. Any recommendations or advice would be greatly appreciated. Appreciate it
