Classless NBC

I know this is a couple of days old, but its still bothers me. NBC should be blasted for playing salsa music for Victor Cruz's touchdown while the play was still going on. Come on, how is that acceptable. Very unprofessional. I'm sure Giants fans thought it was great, but come on. It's a football not a sitcom. 

The Cover Story: Eagles win

The Eagles beat the Giants last night and today the Philly Daily News was up to its only tricks with its front and back pages.

The only winner in the NHL Lockout could be Hockey Canada

While the NHL and the NHLPA are fighting about a collective bargaining agreement, Hockey Canada is licking their chops. If  the lockout continues Canada would be set to send another Dream Team to the World Junior Championships in Russia. Bob McKenzie of TSN breaks down what Team Canada could look like at World Junior Championship if the lockout drags on.

The last time the NHL had a labor issue in 2005, Hockey Canada benefited. During that years World Juniors in Grand Forks, South Dakota Team Canada was loaded. That team featured:  Sidney Crosby, Patrice Bergeron, Corey Perry, Ryan Getzlaf, Mike Richards, Jeff Carter, Dion Phaneuf and Shea Weber. Not bad for an NHL team let alone a WJC team. 

The infusion of the locked out players could not potentially come at a better time for Hockey Canada. Canada has not won the WJC since 2009 and that is simply not good enough for the hockey crazy country. 

Professional Tailgating: Final Trip to the old ballpark

On Thursday the OTWT crew headed to the Nationals Phillies game. It was our final baseball game of the year. The Nationals won the game and Gio got his 21 win of the year on the mound. Here are some of the sites from the game.

Poor Stewart

Steward Downing time at Liverpool has not the been the best, especially when it comes to playing in the Premier League. Its so bad that newly signed Manchester United left back Alexander Buttner has had more scoring success than the England.

So the Eagles where terrible yesterday and the only good thing that can come out of it is the front and pages of the Philly Daily News on Monday. They did not disappoint today.

Gone are the days watching a single game on a tv. Today, the Only Time Will Tell home office had an iPhone, blackberry, a computer and NFL Redzone on the tv. This is not your fathers NFL experience anymore.

Snap together glasses really

Jeff Fisher makes millions of dollars to coach the Rams. During week one Fisher tried a new look snap together glasses. Yes they snap together. It might have been the biggest news of week one.

Disappointing

Just like the Eagles last year, I was very disappointed with the Philadelphia Daily News today. Today the paper put out there Eagles preview section and boy was it not good. The cover featured Reid and Vick out on a limb. I expected more from my favorite tabloid.

Who said these college football stars are missing

Florida State's Greg Reid, LSU's Honey Badger, Georgia's Isaiah Crowell, Miami's Ray-Ray Armstrong and Tennessee Da'Rick Rogers.

All five of these players have something in common, all where kicked off their college footballs team and will not play this year. The other thing that they have in common is that all of them are in College Football 13 from EA Sports.

All five are amazing players in the game and playing the game will give you a true idea of who the best team in the land, including the players that are no longer there.
