I've been to a bunch of hockey games over the years but on Saturday Gregory and I went to the Flyers vs. Islanders game and sat three rows from the ice. Here are so sites and sounds from it.

There is no defense

I get that some people go to games who are not fans of either team. But how could you wear the jersey of a team that isn't playing in a game. During the Eagles vs. Cardinals game on Sunday night I saw two people doing this. One was wearing a Todd Gurley Ram's jersey and another was wearing a Charles Woodson Raiders one.

 I don't understand how someone could do this. 

Professional Tailgating: lacrosse goes west

The NCAA Lacrosse championships have been on Philly before and I decided to not to go but this year that changed. My son and I headed up and loved it and saw Denver become the first team west of the Mississippi to win the National Title. 

Professional Tailgating: Tanking

I've never watched tanking live before bit last night I did as the Sixers took on the Wizards. Too bad th sixers forgot they are supposed to be tanking and beat the Wizards.

I actually saw the Sixers win. 

Professional Tailgating: Wait this is not the WWE

Instead of spending the night at home, the crew headed out to watch Rutgers wrestle defending national champs Penn State. For a WWE fan it was interesting to see a college wrestling match. 

More than 6,000 people attended the match the largest in the history of the program. 

A cool giveaway for kids. Califlower ears for all. 

Professional Tailgating: Maybe things are OK

So we made the trip down to College Park for Rutgers game vs. Maryland. Little did we know what we witness and aren't I glad we didn't leave at halftime. 

   Now this is a basketball arena

It was off to the Linc yesterday as I took my 4-year-old to his first Eagles game. And the birds didn't disappoint as they destroyed the a Titans.

For a first season in the Big Ten, going to a bowl game has to be considered a success. On Saturday, Rutgers beat Indinana to secure their sixth win and get bowl eligible.

Monday Night Football has always been a big game and the Eagles played like it Monday night. We road dirty with Mark all and all it was a good night for us.

As Allen Iverson once said: "we're talking about practice." The Flyers hold an open practice at Boardwalk Hall in AC and it was entertaining.

So Gary Nova played the game of his life last night at Rutgers beat Michigan for its first ever Big Ten win. What an amazing night.

I'm one of the more positive Rutgers fans out there but Saturday something happened that annoyed me. Let's get to our seats before the game started. With a nation audience watching on ESPN News, the game kicked off in a more than half empty stadium. This should not happen. It looks bad.

Saturday the gang headed to William Paterson for their annual homecoming celebration. The Pioneers won their game and we had some fun.

For the first time, I attended a competitive Philadelphia Union match but it may have been the biggest in their history. The Union played the Sounders in the final of the US Open Cup. Here are some of sights.
